Rhondell Miller, Executive Director of HOTEL INC

Rhondell Miller is an experienced nonprofit leader who has guided the development of HOTEL INC over the last 10 years. Her leadership with the Board, staff and community has resulted in a new vision of holistic care and development in which root causes of homelessness and economic poverty in Warren County can be addressed.

Hunger and Health in the Bible
Dr. James Barker, Associate Professor of New Testament at Western Kentucky University

James Barker has written extensively about the production and reception of the Gospels. In 2023 he received WKU's Faculty Research Award, and in 2014 he received the Society of Biblical Literature's Paul J. Achtemeier Award for New Testament Scholarship.

Shelley Carter, Neighborhood Engagement Specialist at HOTEL INC

Shelley Carter has 30 years of experience working in the non-profit sector in community mental health and at HOTEL INC. Her various roles in direct care and operations have provided both a broad and in-depth view of the challenges of economic poverty on health and well-being.

Mapping the Landscape: Poverty in Bowling Green
Brent Childers, Director, Neighborhood & Community Services

Brent Childers leads community and economic development efforts for the City of Bowling Green through planning and implementation for various neighborhood, downtown, and strategic plan objectives. The department he directs includes the offices for Section 8 Housing, Code Compliance & Animal Protection, Neighborhood Services, and the International Liaison.
